What is the difference between passive and active immunotherapy?

A

Based on their ability to activate the host immune system against malignant cells. Passive can be mAbs or transferred T-cells, Active can be anticancer vaccines or checkpoint inhibitors.

What is the difference between antigen specific and non-antigen specific immunotherapy?

A

Non-antigen can be broad like cytokines or checkpoint blockers, antigen-specific can be a vaccine or CAR-T cells.
