Involves iGE antibodies which binds to basophils/Mast cells

1st Exposure
A
IgE (to the allergen) is formed and binds to Mast cells FC portion. (no symptom at this point)

2nd exposure
A
Degranulation of mass cells/basophils
Histamine, Leukotriene and Prostaglandins repleased
- dilates blood vessels
- increased permeability of capullary vessels
- contraction of smooth muscles
- increased mucus secretion
- increased secretion of HCl in stomach
