Q

What is the IHC technique?

A

1.) Target antigen in the cell
2.Primary antibody attaches to target antigen
3. Secondary antibody attaches to primary antibody
4. Secondary antibody conjugates with enzyme horse radish peroxidase (HRP)
5. Chromogenic substrate diaminobenzidine (DAB) is added which is catalysed by HRP
6. Brown precipitate is formed which is visualised under a microscope
