Live Viral vaccines
MMR, Varicella zoster, Intranasal influenza, Yellow Fever, Vaccinia, Oral Polio Virus
Live Bacterial vaccines
BCG, Oral Typhoid
Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
Given to all over 6 months old annually
DTaP
For children under 7 years old
5 shots: 2 mo, 4 mo, 6 mo, 15-18 mo, 4-6 y
Tdap and Td
Tdap: one dose at 11 years or older
-Pregnant women should get with each pregnancy
Td booster every 10 years
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine
Female: 3 dose series beginning at age 11-12, completed by age 26
-HPV4 or HPV2 recommended
Male: 3 dose series beginning at age 11-12, completed by age 26
-HPV4 recommended
Varicella
2 doses to all adults without evidence to immunity
Zostavax
Given to all adults age 60 or older, regardless or prior herpes zoster
Pneumococcal Vaccine
Recommended for all adults 65 and older
- PCV13 given first (if not given in childhood) and PPSV23 6-12 months later
- If already given PPSV23, give PCV13 at least 1 year later
