What immunisations are given at birth?
BCG - if the infant is HIGH RISK
When is the next round of immunisations given and what is given at this point?
8 WEEKS (2 months)
- 6in1 = Diphtheria, polio, tetanus, pertussis, haemophilia influenza B and hepatitis B
- Pneumococcal (conjugate vaccine - PCV)
- Meningococcus type B
- Rotavirus (oral solution)
After 8 weeks when is the next round of immunisations and what is given at this point?
12 WEEKS (3 months) Another 6in1 (diphtheria, tetanus, polio, pertussis, HiB and HepB) Another rotavirus (oral solution)
After 12 weeks when is the next round of immunisations and what is given at this point?
16 WEEKS (4 months)
Another 6in1 (diphtheria, polio, tetanus, pertussis, Hib and HepB)
Another pneumococcus conjugate vaccine (PCV)
Another MenB
After 16 weeks when is the next round of immunisations offered and what is given at this point?
ONE YEAR Hib and MenC Pneumococcus (PCV) FIRST MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) MenB (booster)
From one year flu vaccinations can also be offered to those who are eligible (co-morbidities)
After one year when is the next round of immunisations and what is given?
3 YEARS 4 MONTHS
MMR booster
4in1 booster - diphtheria, polio, pertussis and tetanus
After the immunisations at 3 years 4 months what other vaccinations can be offered and when?
GIRLS AGED 12/13 should be offered vaccination against HPV 16, 18, 6 and 11
- Should be given in 2 doses between 6-24 months apart
14 year olds (School year 9) should be offered boosters of TETANUS, DIPHTHERIA and POLIO and meningococcal groups A, C, W and Y (MenACWY)
When are MMR vaccinations given?
At 1 year and again at 3 years 4 months
When are the 6in1 vaccinations given and what do they include?
2, 3 and 4 months
Diphtheria, tetanus, polio, percussion, haemophilus influenza B and Hep B (older versions used to just be 5in1 and wouldn’t include HepB)
When are pneumococcal vaccines given?
2 months, 4 months and 1 year
How many times will a child be vaccinated against diphtheria , polio and tetanus and when?
5 times
2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 3 years 4 months and 14 years
