Q

humoral immunity VS cell-mediated immune response

A

Q

what is an antigen? antibody?

A
ANTIGEN= any molecule capable of stimulating an immune response (can be self-antigen)

Q

what is alloimmunity?

A

produces an immune response against antigens from the same species. can occur after an allograph (transplant of body tissue) or allotransfusion (plasma, immunoglobulin, plasma products)
