Someone leaving their homeland because it is unsafe.

Moving to a country other than where they have citizenship

Someone coming to Canada to work

A system to rank how well am immigrant will be able to adapt to society in Canada.
What is the head tax?
A tax for Chinese people to enter Canada after the construction of the railway. People thought the Chinese were taking their jobs.
What is the Singh decision?
Everyone is allowed to enter Canada and apply for refugee status and have a individual trial.
What is the provincial nomination program?
Provinces request for people with specific training to help the economy
What is the canada-Quebec accord?
Quebec can nominate French speaking immigrants
Who is a family class refugee?
A person coming to Canada to meet with their spouse, partner, children, parents or grandparents.
What is the immigrant and refugee protection act?
The latest policy to allow people to apply to come to Canada in 3 categories. Family class, economic class and refugees
