Define current and give the formula

Define pd/voltage and give the formula
Amount of work done to move charge around the circuit per unit charge V=w/Q

How hard it is to get a flow of electrons through a material

When will a diode not let current flow in one direction?
When the voltage in the other direction is very large
What is reverse bias?
The direction current isn’t allowed to flow
What is breakdown voltage?
The voltage at which current will flow in reverse bias
What is forward bias?
The direction in which current is allowed to flow
What is threshold voltage? Define & state a value
Threshold voltage: point at which the diode will conduct in the forward direction (0.6V normally)
What is the electromotive force?
EMF is the maximum amount of electrical energy that a source can supply per unit charge
Give the formula for emf
ε=E/Q OR energy transferred from other forms to electrical/charge
What is an electronvolt?
A unit of energy usually used with subatomic particles
