ultrasound, CT and MRI

T1 & T2 weighted, T1: fluid is black, T2 fluid is white

Why are different modalities used for different organs
A
some organs are seen better with different imaging, e.g. ultrasound is better for solid organs than hollow ones such as the bladder

A
ultrasound is mainly used, different probe heads are used to get different angles.
