its the mental representation of stimuli when the stimuli aren’t physically present.
What’s image maintenance?
Active maintenance of image to inspect or transform image.
What’s image generation?
created from perceptual information or info held in LTM.
What’s image inspection?
interpret object-based characteristic or spatial property of image.
What’s image transformation?
Mental rotation/ image restructuring.
What is Pictorial Representation?
Our mental images resemble perception, a pictorial representation that closely resembles the physical object.
What is Propositional representation?
Our mental images resemble language, images are stored in abstract representations as language.
Observer perspective images
Images perceived as if observing yourself. These seem to enhance emotion than observer perspective.
