Patient demos
Preprocess marker (or postprocessed)
Distal 3rd femur and proximal 3rd tib and fib and soft tissue borders
Apex of the patella see the joint space 2.5cm from it
Patella sitting in the middle no rotation

Exposure factors a 60 KV 3 mAs, 10-cgycm2

The brightness is good because I can differentiate bone from soft tissue

Contrast is good I can see the trabecular pattern

Sharpness is good cause I can see cortex of bone is not blurry

Pathology or artefacts
Knee replacement or OA

Need for actions
Nothing the pics are sent to the doctor

Chest assessment notes

A

Get form

Check the patient’s previous images (and write them down on the form)

If a female get changed (if a man ask them to take the top layer of clothes off in the room)
Set up tube (180SID) and R marker on erect bulky

Pick the patient on the machine and check the details there

Put the grid in (depends on your hospital)

Get patient
ID check
and put chest against the board
Put hands on hips(backs of the hands) and roll shoulders and elbows forward

Breathing instructions and take a pic and check if it’s a big breath in (should be at least 8 ribs minimum)

If okay tell the patient to relax and that their doctor will get pics in 1 week so make an appointment then
Check image for marker etc and send to PACs
Check image has been sent to PACs and then do 10 points check
