Trench Fever
Pyrexia of unknown origin. Symptoms included severe headaches,shivering pain in the bones and joints which lasted about 3 days. It was spread by lice which lived in the seams of clothing and blankets.
Trench Foot
Caused by standing in waterlogged trenches for hours which left the feet swollen, blistered and numb. Tight boots restricted blood flow and there wasn’t time to change footwear. Could lead to gangrene and dead flesh which could only really result in amputation.

Army code for shell shock. Caused by reactions to danger(the war) It led to men having to leave the front line. Men were treated in France and given rest, food and drinks.They also had talks to calm them down.
