Major Depressive Disorder
must have 5 of the 9 symptoms for at least 2 weeks
Persistent Depressive Disorder
not as severe at MDD

Bipolar 1
Manic or Mixed episode
Manic Episode criteria is 1 week
Mania=dangerous acts, typically have legal or safety consequences
Bipolar 2

Cyclothymia
