I.E. Stuff Flashcards
IFS
Industrial and Financial Systems, a software/operating system much of Tindall’s info is stored in, you will need to request access to this. Anything that is included on the BOM of a piece and the piece itself can be found in IFS.
LPR
Labor Performance Report, sent out weekly from each plant with efficiency percentages. Process documentation for this can be found in the BA Process Documentation Folder within the INDUSTRIALENGR Drive.
5S
Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain. We conduct biweekly IE assessments of all work stations based on those principles.
Post-Mortem
A job review conducted once the job is completed. Tells us things we did well/need to improve on whether it be engineering, estimating, or production.
Routings
Sheets in Excel used to estimate how many man hours a piece should take based on standards. The features of a piece dictate its complexity, thus an individual has to fill out the routing to account for the features that aren’t picked up by the macro automatically and then upload it to IFS.
Standards
Times our routing sheets use to calculate an expected earned hour number for production.
JSS
Job Specification Sheet. The official standards sheet that displays the breakdown of the standard times.
(H:) Drive
Your personal drive. Save documents here that do not need to be easily accessed by coworkers.
(Y:) Drive
This is the INDUSTRIALENGR drive. Save documents here that you intend to share with the rest of the IE’s in the division.
(V:) Drive
This is the Transfer Drive. The Transfer Drive can be accessed from other divisions. Save things here that you plan to share with someone from another Tindall Location.
Capital Expenditure
IE will complete a Capital Expenditure request when planning to make a large purchase. This request goes to corporate so that they can approve the purchase before it happens.
