What are some of iCloud’s capabilities?
When you use iCloud, you can access your photos, files, passwords, and other data on any device you choose. Because your data is stored in the cloud and not on a single device, it stays up to date everywhere.
You can backup your devices
You associate your Apple ID to increase the ease of use of FileVault, Find My and Digital Legacy.
How does Family Sharing impacts BYOD devices?
Apps and books distributed to a user through your MDM solution aren’t shared with family members if the user has a Family Sharing account with iCloud.

Troubleshoot iCloud features and recognize MDM settings that supersede iCloud features.
Some iCloud features will not work with Managed Apple IDs. For example, users can’t use Apple Pay, iCloud Mail, iCloud Family Sharing, Message (allow in iCloud), iCloud Keychain (although keychain items are saved and restored on Shared iPad devices).
