  • Idiopathic

Coeliac
Microscopic colitis (chronic non-bloodly watery diarrhea, normal appearances on colonoscopy and characteristic histopathology findings of inflammatory cells)

Presentation

A

Abdominal pain/discomfort in association with frequent diarrhoea or constipation and a change in bowel habits.
Usually acute attacks that subside within one day.
Urgency
Tenesmus
Bloating
Symptoms sometimes relieved by bowel movements
