Rectal contraindications
Do not proceed if: not given informed consent, patient has fistulae, excessive rectal bleeding, history of 3rd degree heart block or autonomic dysreflexia, if the patient is a child if there is evidence of possible abuse the presence of a foreign body
Hip one thing in inspection
How to do hip flexion and how to do Thomas’s test
Inspection- leg length
When you do hip flexion, knees at 90 degrees
In Thomas’s test, flex the hip
Elbow- what are the tests for lat and med epicondlyitis?
Both have elbow at 90 degrees by side
Med- supination and extend wrist, fully extend elbow while stabilising the humerus
Lat- same but with pronation and flexed wrist
Vascular end pieces
Auscultation of aortic, femoral and renal bruits
End pieces: carotid and SC auscultation and palpation, UL vascular and aortic palpation

Lumbar spine
In straight leg raise, the patient does it themself
Check big toe dorsiflexion specifically- problem = L5 nerve root prob.
End pieces: PNS LL and vascular LL (IF INDICATED)

Face signs are just pallor and cyanosis
