Ulcerative colitis is a continuous uninterruptible inflammation of the colonic mucosa beginning in distal rectum and extends proximally for variable distance
Intestinal features of ulcerative colitis
Rectal bleeding main symptom
Tenesmus urgency
Watery diarrhea, mucoid
Tender Abdominal mass(phlegmon or abscess)
Acute abd discomfort but moreso with chrons

Rheumatological: peripheral arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis(inflam disease that over time cause some of vertebrae to fuse)
Dermatological: erythema nodosum, pyoderma gangrenosum( erythematoud plaque on pretibial area usually that ulcerates
Ophthal: anterior uveitis which is vision threatening
Hepatobiliary: primary sclerosis cholangitis mainly in men.. progressive and fatal if liver transplant not done
What are features an individual may present with of his ulcerative colitis that may make you suspect cancer
Pancolitis
A colonic structure in a patient (malignancy until proven otherwise)
