Add-On fare
A supplementary charge added to an international airfare from non-gateway cities to gateway cities.
Accountable document
Documents of the specified dollar value.
Advance purchase
A fare restriction of a determined number of days a ticket must be purchased before travel begins.

A weekly report sent by the agency to the Data Processing Centre with all BSP sales in a weekly period.
APEX
Advance Purchase Excursion Fare. A discounted, round-trip international fare. Cannot be purchased one-way for half the cost although can be split and combined with other split round-trip fares.
EMD
Electronic miscellaneous document.
City pair
2 city codes; origin and destination.
Approval code
Alphanumeric code provided by credit card companies, indicating approval for a given charge transaction.
AST
Agency sales transmittal
Banker’s Selling Rate
BSR
exchange rate used to convert currencies.
Booking code
Letters used to book the reservation in the airline computer reservations system.
Capacity controlled
Limited number of seats to be sold on a flight at a low fare.
CIP
Carrier Identification Plate
A plate from a BSP carrier authorizing an Angelou to ticket on its behalf.
CRN
Cash Refund Notice
BSP accounting form sent within the weekly sales transmittal for a refund of a ticket paid by cash.
Check digit
An additional number included with the form and serial number in the ticket number to verify the number. Used to prevent fraud in accountable documents.
