What are some common Reductase inhibitors?

What is Niacin used for?
Decreases LDL and tryglicerides
Increases HDL levels
What are some common niacin agents?
Niacin, nicotinic acid, vitamin B3
What are fibric acid derivatives used for?
Modest decrease in LDL
Modest increase in HDL
Known as fibrates
What are some toxicities associated with Fibric Acid derivatives
GI symptoms, myopathy, arrhythmias, hypokalemia, increased risk for gallstones
