Personal hygiene includes washing you hands, body hygiene, reporting sickness and protective clothing

Name 2 basic rules to keep a kitchen safe and clean?
1) Always wash your hands before and after working with food
2) If you are ill with diarrhoea or sickness, do not work with food.
3) Don’t cough, sneeze or spit near the food.
4) Cover any cuts with a blue plaster.
Name 1 way to keep the kitchen clean
1) Food surfaces must be kept clean when preparing food, wash down the surfaces with a clean cloth and use antibacterial spray which will kill bacteria.
2) Use clean tea towels and dishcloths-dirty cloths spread bacteria. Cloths should be thoroughly washed each day.
3) Clear the rubbish-put food waste in a bin and empty it regularly;
If you discover a fire what do you do?
- Raise the alarm and press Fire Alarm button.
- Call the fire brigade.
- Turn off gas and electricity if time.
- If a small fire, try to extinguish with fire blanket or extinguisher.
- Leave the building.

A fire blanket is used to put out oil and fat fires.

A fire extinguisher is used to put out solid or liquid (oil and fat)or electrical fires.
