Hydraulics Flashcards
Engine hydraulic pump pressure
3000psi
Electric hydraulic pump pressure
2900psi
Electric pump activated auto pressure
1600psi /56.4%
EICAS hydraulic temp caution
90°
Hydraulic reservoir capacity
6 litres
Brake over temp
420°
How many hydraulic systems? How are they powered?
2 systems each powered by 1 electric and 1 engine driven pump.
When would you get an EICAS caution for hydraulic overheat?
90°
How can you shutoff hydraulics?
Engine fire handle or shutoff switch in hydraulic panel.
Under what conditions does the electric hydraulic pump operate and to what pressure?
On when N2 is below 56.4% or pressure is 1600psi. Deenergises when engine pump can deliver 2100psi. On it’s own electric pump deliver 2900psi
How many hydraulic accumulators? What pressure are they and what are they used for?
2, 3000psi, landing gear and emergency brakes
What are the 3 functions of the hydraulic manifold?
Fluid filtering, overpessure relief, pressure indications.
What does the priority valve do in system 1?
Isolates the landing gear on retraction so hydraulic power to the flight controls is not lost.
0.3gpm when closed, 6.5gpm when open
What are the green, amber and full quantities of hydraulic fluid?
Above 1 litre, 1 litre and below, 6 litres
What is the green indication of hydraulic pressure, and the normal operating range
1,300 - 3,300psi
2,700 to 3,100psi
