What deploys the Ram Air Turbine (RAT)?
H - All 3 hydraulic system pressures are low
E - Both AC transfer buses are unpowered
E - Both Engines are failed and center system pressure is low
D - Deployed manually with button
What does the RAT power?
Provides hydraulic power only to primary flight control components connected to the Center Hydraulic System.
Provides power to both Captain and FO flight instruments throught the C1/C2 TRU’s
What does the left hydraulic system power?
The left thrust reverser and some flight controls
What does the right hydraulic system power?
The Right thrust reverser, some flight controls, and normal brakes
What does the center hydraulic system power?
Powers some flight controls, flaps/slats, landing gear and steering, and alternate/reserve brakes
When does the fault light illuminate on the hydraulic panel?
When there is AC power and there is low pump pressure or high fluid temperature.
Which pumps are primary?
Left and Right Engine driven pumps and C1,C2 Electrical pumps(for center)
Which pumps are demand?
Left and right Electrical and C1,C2 Air driven pumps(for center)
When do the left/right demand pump engage?
On ground until airborne.
When do the C1/C2 demand pumps engage?
On ground until after gear retraction.
When gear is extended, what does the hydraulic system do?
One center system demand pump engages.
