Hydraulics Flashcards
What are the three independent systems?
Left, Right, and Center
What does the LEFT system power?
- Left Thrust Reverser
- Flight Control Components
What does the RIGHT system power?
- Right Thrust Reverser
- Flight Control Components
- Normal Brakes
What does the CENTER system power?
- Flight Controls
- Leading Edge Slats
- Trailing Edges Flaps
- Landing Gear Actuation
- Nose Gear Steering
- Main Gear Steering
- Alternate Brakes
What does the Ram Air Turbine power?
Backup pressure for primary flight controls only
How are the C1 and C2 primary pumps driven?
Electric motor-driven
How are the C1 and C2 demand pumps driven?
Air driven
When are Primary Pump FAULT lights illuminated?
- Low primary pump pressure
- Excessive primary pump fluid temperature
- Pump selected OFF
When are the Demand Pump FAULT lights illuminated?
- Low demand pump output pressure
- Excessive demand pump fluid temperature
- Demand pump is selected OFF
When is the C2 primary pump NOT load shed?
(On the ground)
- One engine generator is operating
- Primary external power and secondary external power
- APU generator and primary external power
The C2 primary pump may be load shed by the ELMS when the following conditions exist:
(In flight)
- All other electrical pumps are running
- There is a single source of electrical power
- Generator capacity is exceeded
Note: The pump starts automatically when the conditions that shed the pump no longer exist.
