Autoflight Systems Flashcards
What does the autoflight control system consist of?
- AFDS
- A/T
What does the MCP and FMC control?
- AFDS
- A/T
If the FD switch is positioned OFF and the TO/GA is pressed, when will the steering indications display?
- Airspeed greater than 80 knots

When is LAND 2, 3, and NO AUTOLAND annunciated?
On approach below 1500’ RA
What is LAND 2? (Fail Passive)
A reduced level of redundancy in which a single fault cannot cause a significant deviation from the flight path
What is LAND 3? (Fail Operational)
Has a level of redundancy in which a single fault cannot prevent the autopilot system from making an automatic landing
After localizer and glideslope capture and above 1500’ RA, how are the localizer and glideslope modes deactivated?
By deselecting the APP switch
After descending through 1500’ RA, how are the localizer and glideslope modes deactivated?
By pressing TO/GA
What are the FMA Autothrottle annunciations?
