HYD XFEED

A

In case of pump failure, the associated system users may be supplied with the other pump by the XFEED pb opening the cross feed valve.

If LO LEVEL alert, cross feed is inhibited and closes if open.

HYD OVHT

A

The light illuminates when the associated pump case drain line is >121*C. In case of overheat, an attempt to restore the system may be performed after the OVHT alert has extinguished.

Brake Accumulator and Indicator

A

Displays brake accumulator pressure in the Blue System available for emergency braking if pressure is >1600psi. The brake accumulator allows at least 6 applications of emergency braking force at full braking pressure in the event of HYD LO LVL.

Hydraulic System General

A

The aircraft has two hydraulic systems, designated blue and green. Each system is pressurized by an electric pump to 3000psi, supplied by ACW power. The blue system is also provided with and auxilliary pump, supplied by DC power (automatic or manual mode).

Volume: 
Total- 9.6L
Normal Filling- 9.35L
Minimum Filling- 8.5L
B/G Compartment- 4.0L
Alert Level- 2.5L

HYD AUX Pump

A

Automatically operates when at least one engine is running, the pb is depressed, the prop brake is off, the gear lever is down and the Blue system is less than 1500psi. Or for 30s when the pedestal pb is depressed.
