- WTG generates AC current
- WTG feeds HVDC platform where it is converted to DC
- DC cables transmit DC current to onshore convertor station
- Onshore convertor station converts DC current to AC

- Managed and controlled from Onshore due to removal of personnel
- Removal of personnel
- Resulting in 70% reduction in weight of the topside of the platform
- This is due to removal of personnel, living quarters, helideck and sewage systems
