HVAC Flashcards
What sends a signal to BOP-ESFAS, which could provide a FBEVAS signal?
RU-145 (Fuel Blg HVAC effluent)
RU-31 (SFP area rad monitor)
On a SIAS signal; what happens to the Fuel Blg HVAC?
The Essential exhaust AFU and dampeners will auto align to take suction from the 100’ and below of the Aux Blg
What will automatically stop the fuel building normal supply and exhaust fans?
FBEVAS
What will close the fuel building normal supply and exhaust dampers?
FBEVAS or lose of IA
Describe the reaction of the essential fuel building exhaust AFU’s to a SIAS and/or a FBEVAS?
SIAS- aligns to aux building
FBEVAS- aligns to fuel building
Both present- SIAS takes priority
What containment HVAC components are affected on a SIAS?
- Containment Normal ACU’s trip
- CEDM normal ACUs trip
- Reactor cavity fans trip
Following a SIAS, what ACU’s inside of containment are sequenced back on?
- CEDM normal ACU’s
- Containment normal ACU’s
What do the four reactor cavity cooling fans prevent?
deterioration of the cement in the reactor cavity
Where is RU-1 located and where does it take a sample from?
Located in the Aux blg and it draws a sample from the 120’ level of containment
How are the HC normal ACU’s fan suction dampeners operated?
Motor operated and they open when the ACU is started
Where are the MSSS vent supply fans controlled from?
Locally with a 3 position switch (stop-auto-start)
What subsystems makeup containment purge?
Refueling purge
Power access purge
What is power access purge used for?
Control pressure in containment by periodically venting to the plant vent stack
What components makeup the power access purge exhaust AFU?
Moderate filter, HEPA, charcoal, HEPA, Fan
When is the refueling purge supply AHU operated?
In modes 5 and 6
