16
Q

What does the heater that is installed upstream of the charcoal filter in the power access purge normal exhaust AFU do?

A

prevent the charcoal from being damaged by moisture

17
Q

How does the loss of 125 VDC affect CP?

A
  • Refueling purge outlet dampers fail closed and prevent AHU ops
  • Power access purge inlet dampers fail closed adn prevent AHU ops
18
Q

What are the RU monitors in the aux building HVAC? What do they monitor?

A

RU-8- Aux Blg vent exh filter inlet
RU-9- Aux Blg Lower level vent exh monitor
RU-10- Aux Building Upper level vent exh monitor
RU-143- Plant vent lower monitor
RU-144- Plant vent higher monitor

19
Q

What is the max and min temperature in the Aux building?

A

Max- 104 degrees F

Min0 50 degrees F

20
Q

What is the min and max temperature in the access control area?

A

Max- 80 degrees F

Min- 70 degrees F

21
Q

What do we have to do when less then both trains of aux building exhaust and supply are operating?

A

Monitor electrical penetration rooms every 8 hours (104 degrees F)

22
Q

Where can we start the Aux feed pump room ACU’s?

A

Locally at the MCC (s). (PHA/PHB)

23
Q

If we lose cooling to the CEDM ACU, what is our limit on RCS temperature?

A

If RCS temperature is > 300 degrees F and we lose CEDM cooling; we shouldn’t operate them or they could become damaged.

24
Q

What is the containment pressure and temperature LCO’s?

A

Temp- 3.6.5

Pressure- 3.6.4

25
Q

If there is steam in the main steam lines in the MSSS what are the limits on the MSSS exhaust fans?

A

At least one exhaust fan must be in service.

If only one is in service then, it can only operate like that for 7 days.

26
Q

What kind of pressure do we maintain in the Aux blg, fuel blg, and RW?

A

Slight negative pressure

27
Q

How do we maintain the negative pressure in the RCA buildings?

A

By starting the exhaust system before the supply.

28
Q

If we are stopping the Fuel building HVAC, how should we shutdown the equipment?

A

Shutdown the supply first and then the exhaust to maintain a slight negative pressure.

29
Q

Why can’t we open the doors on the FB essential AFU’s?

A

By opening the doors it inops the PREACS and FBEVAS.. If Mx needs the door open for whatever reason we can open them if;

  • we are in constant contact with the control room
  • The doors remain functional and can be closed on a moments notice.
30
Q

If we start a FB essential AFU, how long must we let it run before we shut it down?

A

The AFU needs to be operated for at least 15 minutes. If the fan isn’t allowed to run for 15 minutes then after it is shutdown; it should remain shutdown for 5 minutes before restoring.

31
Q

What RU-monitors send a CREFAS signal on hi radiation?

A

RU-37/38.

Control Room Essential Filtration actuation signal
