Humanism is different from the beliefs of the middle ages because they were interested in ideas besides religion. They wanted to learn to lead successful lives. They were interested in the positive qualities that make us human.
Explain the Role of the Medici family in the Italian Renissance:
The Medici family was the start of the Italian Renaissance because they were patrons of the best painters. Lots of very detailed paintings were made because of this.
The art of the Italian Renaissance:
The Italian Renaissance used fading points and perspective to make paintings look 3D. Most of them were Christian based, but others were based on Roman or Greek beliefs. The paintings focused more on symmetry and anatomy.
The art of the Northern Renaissance:
The Northern Renaissance focused more on daily life scenes and less on symmetry and anatomy and 3D-ness
What effect did the printing press have on European Society:
The printing press made the bible more accessible to ordinary people who couldn’t read Latin. Bibles were printed in ordinary languages, which made people want more education, which led to Italian universities being more popular.
