all humans are self determining and have free will

self actualisation wont happen if the gap between the two are too big
issues as adults stem from childhood and a lack of unconditoonal love

optimistic- sees all people as good whereas psychodynamic sees pwple as priosoners
limitation of humanistic
cultural bias- ides are more assosiated with induvidualist cultures therefore not universal
