Human Vision Flashcards
1
Q
How many convex lenses does the human eye contain? Where are they?
A
2, a single in the cornea and a double in the lens
2
Q
Why do the lenses refract incoming light?
A
These lenses refract incoming light in order for them to be focused on the retina
3
Q
How is light refracted in the vitreous humor and aqueous humor?
A
Because they are liquids of a higher density.
4
Q
Does the resulting image get inverted when light focuses on it?
A
Yes, when light focuses onto the retina the resulting image is actually inverted, but we do not see the image as inverted because our brains flip them right side up when interpreting it
