Where do arteries carry blood?
Away from the heart.
Where do veins carry blood?
To the heart.
What do red blood cells carry?
Oxygen around the body.
What do white blood cells do?
Fight against diseases.
What does plasma do?
Acts as a medium to carry blood cells.
Wha do Platelets do?
Clot blood.
What do Bones do?
Provide shape, protection and support for the body.
What do cartilages do?
Act as a shock absorber by reducing friction between bones.
What do ligaments do?
Connect bones.
What do tendons do?
Connect the muscles and bones.
What do connective tissues do?
Support and connect other tissues from the connective tissue sheath to the tendons.
What are the 4 chambers in the heart?
Right atria, left atria, right ventricle, left ventricle.
Why are ventricles very thick.
So they can withstand the great amount of pressure.
Why is the left ventricle thicker than the right ventricle?
Because it is the main powerhouse of the heart.
What is the trachea made of?
Cartilage rings for support.
