social injustice:
the unfair treatment of people in society.
discrimination:
treating people less favourably because of their ethnicity/gender/colour/sexuality/age/class.
prejudice:
believing some people are inferior or superior without even knowing them.
stereotype:
a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.
freedom of religion:
the right to believe or practise whatever religion one chooses (this is protected by human rights).
freedom of religious expression:
the right to worship, preach, and practice one’s faith in whatever way they choose (this is not protected by human rights, meaning people can technically express their interpretation of their religion violently).
fair pay:
being paid at a rate that’s appropiate to the work being done. this also means equal pay between men and women.
exploitation:
misuse of power or money to get others to do things for little or unfair reward.
loan:
borrowed money which must be paid back, usually with interest; excessive loans are where the interest rate is very high (payday loans).
interest:
the money paid to a lender from a borrower on top of the initial sum.
human trafficking:
the illegal movement of people, typically for the purposes of forced labour or commercial exploitation.
