SKILLS: something learned through experience

KNOWLEDGE: level of education,experience or training one must have at a minimum in order to be considered qualified for a job

COMPETENCY: combination of abilities, skills and knowledge that enables someone to act effectively in a job

1.RECRUITMENT

A
  • recruiting:
    Internal (easy, cheap and more data)
    External (new different ideas and less restrictive to change)
    Also depends on job position
-selection process:
Pre selection (if there’s many applicants)
Different tests (interview, specific knowledge, physical and medical tests...)

-orientation:
Recruitment ends when the employee is already at work and working efficiently

Objective:
Get employees compromise with the organization
2 big areas:
- compensation system
- working life quality
Compensation has a direct effect on employees behavior.
Compensation requirements:
- effective
- fair
- equitable 
- legal

Compensation system:
Internal and external factors
-monetary(extrinsic):
• direct ( related with specific job position)
• indirect (common reward to all employees)

-non monetary(intrinsic)
