What are the 3 Human resources strategies that employers use to innovate the workplace
- Becoming an ‘employer of choice’
- Employing a ‘diverse workforce’
- Fostering intrapreneurship
Explain the ‘employer of choice’ HR strategy
Employer of choice strategy is used to maximise performance and retention of quality staff. It absolutely must be genuine and strategies must reflect the unique needs of employees and quality of relationships.
Explain what it means to employ a ‘diverse workforce’
(Having diversity and inclusion is a valuable HR strategy designed to foster collaboration and impact positively on internal activities and relationships and provides a valuable experience to all stakeholders.)
A diverse workplace is accepting and welcoming to all kinds of people regardless of their differences. A diverse workforce has employees of different ages, genders, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, educational background etc.
What is ‘intrapreneurship’ and how do businesses foster it
An intrapreneur is an employee who seeks ways to improve efficiency and productivity for competitive advantage in a business. They innovate processes, systems and ways of working in a business through collaborative decision-making. To foster intrapreneurship, businesses must have focused organisational ownership and dedicated resource authority so they can support a full-service group with a mandate for corporate entrepreneurship.
