SOUL
It is the type of soul possessed by human beings.
RATIONAL SOUL
The type of soul possessed by nonhuman animals. The sensitive soul has the capacity to receive and react to sense impressions but does not have a capacity for rational thought.
SENSITIVE SOUL
The type of soul possessed by plants. The vegetative soul has the capacity for growth and reproduction but does not have the capacity to receive and react to sense impressions or the capacity for rational thought.

INTELLECT AND FREEWILL
is a rational faculty that tends towards the truth as its object. It is commonly called mind or intelligence.

FREEWILL
The nature of the human person is an integration of both body and soul without any one of which he is not a human person. The body and soul co-exist in the human person. He is an “ensouled body” or an “embodied spirit.”
