Q

carbon dioxide

A

produced from factories and power stations. burning fossil fuels (oil and gas) produces carbon dioxide, raising global temperatures, carbon dioxide makes up ¾ of all greenhouse gas emissions.

Q

methane

A

rice and cow farming produce methane. increases global temperatures. Methane is 20X stronger than carbon dioxide, meaning small amounts still have a larger impact. landfill sites also release methane when waste decomposes.

Q

Nitrous oxide

A

it’s 300 times more effective in trapping heat than carbon dioxide. it stays in the atmosphere for 114 years. its produced from car exhausts and power stations, increasing greenhouse gasses and therefore temperatures.
