N1 还是 N2? (N1 háishì N2?)
Used in questions to give a choice, meaning “N1 or N2?”
你想喝咖啡还是茶?
Do you want coffee or tea?
N1 或者 N2 (N1 huòzhě N2)
Indicates “either N1 or N2” in statements, not questions.
明天我去公园或者去图书馆。
Tomorrow, I will either go to the park or the library.
PLACE + V + 着 + N (PLACE + V + zhe + N)
Indicates that something is in a certain state or ongoing action.
桌子上放着一本书。
There is a book on the table.
PLACE + 没 + V + 着 + N (PLACE + méi + V + zhe + N)
Indicates something is not in a certain state or action.
桌子上没放着书。
There is no book on the table.
会 + V / A + (的) (huì + V / A + de)
Expresses a future action or high possibility.
如果你不带伞,你会淋湿的。
If you don’t bring an umbrella, you will get wet.
