Arming/De-arming Procedures

ALE 47/AGM-114 CATM/ M-299 Launcher Pins

A
  • Taxi clear of line, set parking brake, and AO or ordnance-certified Aircrewmen will remove AGM-114 CATM and M-299 safe pins
  • AGM-114 and M-299
    - Right seat on the controls, left seat raise hands in the air
  • ALE 47 Dispensing pins
    - Right seat occupies cyclic with right hand, collective with left knee, raise left hand
  • Co-Pilot Removes CMDS Safe Pin/hands to aircrewmen
  • Shipboard = complete immediately prior to take off

After Landing:

  • Taxi clear of runway
  • Set parking brake
  • AO or AO cert aircrewman inserts safe pins
  • Shipboard = complete immediately after landing
  • Upon shutdown, AO or Aircrewman verify installation of all pins/covers
