Armed Helicopter Operating Procedures
LASER ENABLE/DISABLE SWITCH
HAC shall ensure DISABLE during preflight/hotseat if not used during mission

Arming/De-arming Procedures
ALE 47/AGM-114 CATM/ M-299 Launcher Pins
- Taxi clear of line, set parking brake, and AO or ordnance-certified Aircrewmen will remove AGM-114 CATM and M-299 safe pins
- AGM-114 and M-299
- Right seat on the controls, left seat raise hands in the air - ALE 47 Dispensing pins
- Right seat occupies cyclic with right hand, collective with left knee, raise left hand - Co-Pilot Removes CMDS Safe Pin/hands to aircrewmen
- Shipboard = complete immediately prior to take off
After Landing:
- Taxi clear of runway
- Set parking brake
- AO or AO cert aircrewman inserts safe pins
- Shipboard = complete immediately after landing
- Upon shutdown, AO or Aircrewman verify installation of all pins/covers

Master Arm and Laser Select / type of laser / each time LRD or LTM is fired
Master Arm over populated areas

Firing Log
- Range arrival/departure
- Each time Laser is fired/ceased
ELRF Targets
Nonmanned military targets only
USE of Range
- Record using DVR and log
- Visual sweep to clear obstacles/Hazards
- Two way comms with all units
- Range is cleared by controller
- Target is acquired, identified, and tracked
- Lasing shall cease if not pointed at target
Armed Helo Flight Restrictions
- Practice SAS off, Boost off, and single engine landings are prohibited
- DVE/Unprepared authorized (if not initials)
- Autos authorized if FCF auto is briefed and possible excessive rise/decay is addressed
