Human Resource Management is the area of a business that is responsible for managing the relationship between the employees and the business.
what is the aim of HRM?
to have the best employees, in the right roles, performing at a high level.
what are employees?
the employees are the ones that carry out daily tasks which leads to the business achieving objectives.

who is responsible for HRM?
the size of the business may determine who is responsible for managing the human resources.

- smaller businesses may just have the owner
what is motivation?
motivation is the drive a person has to exert effort towards the achievement of something
why is having motivated employees important?
having employees who are motivated can improve the ability of the business to achieve its objectives
what can motivated employees lead to?
- improved productivity
- more engagement
- greater commitment
- new ideas and innovations
- higher customer satisfaction
- positive corporate culture
