What are the five health related components of fitness?
Strength, Flexibility , Cardiovascular endurance, Muscular endurance, Body composition
What are the six skill related components of fitness?
Agility, speed, reaction time, balance, power, coordination
What is strength?
Amount of force a muscle can exert against a resistance.
What is flexibility?
Range of motion of your joints.
What is cardiovascular endurance?
Ability to exercise the whole body for long periods of time.
What is muscular endurance?
Ability to use voluntary muscles many times without getting tired.
What is body composition?
Percentage of body that is muscle, fat or bone.
What is agility?
Ability to control the movement of the whole and change position quickly.
What s speed?
Rate of which an individual can cover a movement of range of distance.
What is reaction time?
Time between the presentation and the onset of movement.
What is balance?
Keep the body stable, while at rest or in motion.
What is power?
Ability to undertake strength performance quickly.
What is coordination?
Ability to use two or more body parts together.
What is weight training?
Training that involves weight to increase the strength of muscles using repetitions and sets.
What is continuous training?
Aerobic exercising at a moderate to high level, with no rest.
