Global integration (GI)
Process by which an organization moves an employee out of an international assignment; can involve moving back to the home country, moving to a different global location, or moving to a new location or position in the current host country.
Redeployment
Push vs Pull factors
Push: need for new markets, increased cost pressures & competition, shortfalls in natural resources & talent supply, government supplies, trade agreements, a globalized supply chain
Pull: greater strategic control, gov policies that promote outward foreign investment, trade agreements
