Feed his wife on several levels – Eph. 5:29, and going further, even sacrificing so she can eat.

Cherish them, i.e., “treat with affection and tenderness, treasure, value, attach importance to” (dictionary)
“It means cherishing her, cultivating affection and fondness for her” See Proverbs 8:31.
