What does the adrenal gland do?
It releases hormones that help control the body’s use of sugars and minerals.
What hormone does adrenal release?
Adrenaline.
What does adrenaline do?
It helps the body respond to stress, exercise, and excitement.
Where is the adrenal gland located?
Just above the two kidneys.
What is a gland?
An organ that makes chemicals to control certain body functions.
What does thyroid do?
It creates a hormone that controls the rate at which the body uses energy.
Where is the thyroid located?
In the neck.
What are parathyroids?
They are 4 glands that are attached to the thyroid.
What do parathyroids do?
They release hormones that act with the hormones being made by the thyroid, to control the amount of calcium and phosphorus in the blood.
Where is the pancreas located?
Just under the stomach.
