enters through a hole called the pupil. the cornea and the lens focus the light to form a sharp image on the retina. the nerves in the retina convert the image into electrical signals that are sent to the brain along the optic nerve.

eye lens changes shape to produce a sharp image on the retina. when rays of light are coming from a distant object, eye lens are less curved. when rays of light are coming from a near object, eye lens are more curved
