• I want you to place your hands in the middle of the patient chest.
• with your arms straight.
• i want you to push down on the patient’s chest at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute going a depth of around 5-6cm. allow full recoil of the patient’s chest.

you are going to do 30 chest compressions and then 2 rescue breaths (i will show you this ina second)
- you will be doing 5 rounds of 30 compressions to 2 breaths.
- I want you to tell me when you are at the end of 1. I also want you to count up from 25 to 30 at the end of each round.

explaining bagging / showing the patient how to bag.

so I will show you how to do this then you will be doing the bagging.

• you will take the bag and using the CE grip (like so) roll the bottom of the BVM mask on the patient’s chin up to there noes but also pull there face into the mask. you will then squeeze the bag like so.

you don’t want to squeeze too hard or too little just or the patient will get too much or too little.
