personality- friendly, optimistic
media- saw it important
public- accessible, good public manner
organisational ability- exceptional
Congress- worked well, good at political bargaining
Kennedy styles
personality- from a political family, worked hard on speech making
media- saw it as important, television
public- good manner, attractive, accessible
organisational ability- poor, not working together, less long term planning
Congress- worked very well, family connection
Johnson styles
personality- had been in politics a while, understood importance of winning
media- not natural with the media
public- patchy, good speeches, stiff, best with smaller groups
organisational ability- didnt work with kennedy’s
