Course of ureter in pelvis?

A
  1. enters pelvis at level of SI joint
  2. crosses bifurcation of common iliac (parallel + medial to internal iliac)
  3. crosses obturator artery, vein and nerve
  4. inferior to IP ligament
  5. curves anterior-medially above elevator ani
  6. passes along lateral pelvic sidewalk above uterosacral ligament
  7. passes inferiorly to uterine vessels near cardinal ligament (1-2cm lateral to lateral vaginal fornices)
