2006 Journal of Music Therapy article by Hilliard titled A Post-Hoc Analysis of Music Therapy Services for Residents in Nursing Homes Receiving Hospice Care.
This study examined the effect of music therapy on the length of life of patients in hospice and the results showed that the participants receiving MT services lived 117 days longer
