Pancreas
Where is testosterone produced?
Testes
Where is progesterone produced?
Ovaries
Where is oestrogen produced?
Ovaries
What is the function of insulin
Insulin stimulates the liver cells to absorb glucose and store it as glycogen and reduce blood sugar levels
What is the function of glucagon
To stimulate the liver to break glycogen down into glucose to raise blood sugar levels.
Function of testosterone

Function of FSH
Stimulates egg to mature in the ovary
Function of LH
Stimulates the release of an egg from the ovary
Where is thyroxine produced
Thyroid gland
Which is faster: nervous or hormonal control?
Nervous control is faster, hormonal control is slower
Which effect last longer: nervous or hormonal control?
Hormonal affects last longer, nervous effects are over quickly.
How does nervous control happen?
Using nerves/neurones, involving nerve impulses.
How does hormonal control happen
Using the blood where hormones are secreted
Does hormonal control effect a small part or the whole organ?
The whole organ.
What does nervous control effect?
A local area, eg a muscle.
Where is ADH produced?

What does ADH stand for
Anti-diuretic hormone
What is the function of ADH
Controls the amount of water in blood
What is the target organ of ADH
The kidneys
